Whitney Sarbacker

Color Guard Instructor

Whitney began her color guard career in 8th grade as a performer. She continued marching in high school as a member of the Christian County High School Color Guard in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, where she graduated from in 2002. She was also a member of Eklipse Winterguard from 2001-2004, Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps in 2004, and Chimeras Winterguard in 2005.

As an instructor, Whitney has taught at Rossview High School in Clarksville, TN; Todd County High School, and Russellville High School. At Rossview, she started the winter guard program. That year, they received second place in their class at SCGC Championships. The Russellville High School Winter program was also highly successful under her direction. She also taught Anomaly Independent in 2010, an Independent A class winter guard from Hopkinsville.

In 2007, Whitney graduated from Murray State University with a degree in Elementary Education. She currently is a full-time teacher at First United Methodist Church in Hopkinsville. She has a younger sister that is a color guard instructor in Texas, and a younger brother that is a chef in Lexington.
