SAVE THE DATE! Sept. 30th Muhlenberg County High School will be hosting the 33rd Annual Muhlenberg Marching Classic. We would love to have you and your band join us for what will be a great day of music making and a star-studded panel of adjudicators to give you great feedback and advice. We are also fortunate to be the hosts of the KMEA Class A and Class AAAA West Quarterfinals this year so our contest would be a great opportunity to get a run in the stadium a month before!
We are a non-sanctioned event. We will be classifying bands according to BAND SIZE, not school size or hybrid system. Classifications will be based on the following criteria:
Class A – 1-40 playing members
Class AA – 41-60 playing members
Class AAA – 61-80 playing members
Class AAAA – 81 and above playing members

Percussion – Rick Gardner, retired Director of Percussion, Muhlenberg County HS – Greenville, KY
Color Guard – Ed Johnson, former Head Band Director at Hart County HS – Munfordville, KY
Placement awards will be given in each class, as well as caption awards to color guard and percussion. We will also have overall awards for Outstanding Music, Outstanding Visual, and Outstanding General Effect, as well as best overall color guard and best overall percussion.
Bands will be judged using the current adjudication models used by the Bands of America. Seven judges (Music Ensemble, Music Individual, Visual Ensemble, Visual Individual, and 3 General Effect) will be utilized, with the individual judges being on the field and the other four in the box.
